I’m curious if most dental schools offer significant discounts for dental work to their students. I have gum recession on #3, #5, and #14 due to aggressive brushing. Also, horizontal impaction of #32 and #17, but I’m already planning to go to an OMS this May. If I go to a local periodontist for gingival grafts, it’ll be $700-$1500 per tooth according to a quick research. Perhaps I can get these done for half the price when I start dental school this summer. Anyone here have previous experience or knowledge?

At my school it's free phase 1 and 50% discount for phase 2 treatments.

At Pitt you just had to pay lab fees if there was any. I had all 4 of my third molars removed with sedation at no cost.
