I don't know if anybody is going to be able to give their opinions on this.
I am a rising senior at the University of Notre Dame. I recently took the DAT. My academic average score is 22 (96.2 percentile) with that of PAT being 22 (96.5 percentile). My current gpa is 3.3. Finally, here is the important point: I am an international student. I am aware that medical or dental schools have a tendency of not accepting international students. But, do you guys think I can get admissions to any of the private schools I applied? Thanks guys.

P.S Sorry... I am putting this up again because I posted this in the wrong section.

Congratulations on your scores! Your chances for acceptance will certainly be greater with private schools simply because many state schools operate under specific resident requirements whereas private schools are free to admit anyone they choose. Unless you have private funds to fall on another obstacle you might face is funding - this is just something to keep in mind and a topic that may come up in interviews. Best of luck!

Thanks for your positive comment. 🙂

My friend is an international student applying to med school and pharmacy school...only because the competittion to get in as a "non-citizen" is quite cutthroat these days. I think with your DAT scores, difficulty of institution (notre dame is a very good school), and not bad, not horrible GPA, you will be admitted somewhere, but I would bank on those private schools. I know medical school accept 1 or 2 international students in a class, so I am assuming dental schools do the same...I could be wrong. Then again, I feel like international students sometimes are more deserving of a graduate education, having gone to another country, learned the language, and adapted to the culture. Maybe I'm rambling, but if I were an admissions officer, which I'm obviously not... 😎 , I'd look positively among international students. Unfortunately, that isn't the case though always...
Apply to alot of schools, your chances need to be optimized to the fullest.
