$1000 OBC advance

How does this work? Supposedly we get it "within two weeks" from the report date. WHen do you actually get it? Does this come out of our AD pay?

As I remember, we all magically got $1000 directly deposited into our accounts either during the first week of OBC or just before. Unfortunately, many of us got it the week before OBC and thought this was bonus money and ended up blowing a lot of it until we got our first "paycheck" and realized $1000 was missing...good times...
