Hi everyone:

So I've been lurking around this forum for awhile now and I just received my preliminary scores from the new MCAT yesterday. I've been contemplating whether I should apply this cycle or wait until the next cycle.

CA resident; female; not URM
Major: Biochemistry and Cell biology
Minor: Health care social issues
cGPA: 3.91
sGPA: 3.87
new MCAT total: 88-98%
Physical: 74-89%
Critical: 85-100%
Biological: 83-98%
Psychological: 85-100%

Hospital Internship: 3 yrs - 580hrs
Family medicine clinic volunteer: 5 yrs - 640hrs
MD shadowing hours - Primary care physician: 150hrs
PA shadowing hours - Internal medicine: 30hrs (not sure if this matters)
Mentor/Mentee program through club at school - 1 yr
Review member for undergraduate research journal at school - 1 yr
TA: 1 quarter in cell biology; hoping to TA again over the summer

Lab research: 2 yrs; 20 hrs/week
*So this is really the part I am not sure about. As of right now, I have 2 abstracts published (second and third author) but will have 3 papers published by the end of summer/fall this year. Will it make a difference to have these 3 papers published before I apply?

Letters of Recomendation:
Strong letter from PI and doctor shadowed; Mediocre letters from professors

Should I apply this cycle? If so, what schools should I look into?
Thanks in advance for your help! :)
