(1) How many years long is residency?
(2) How many hours a week do residents work?
(3) How much do residents get paid?

(1) depends on the specialty. Shortest residencies are 3 years in length. Longest can be 7+ years depending on if you continue with a fellowship.

(2) Again, depends on the specialty and the specific residency program. Some specialties (surgery for example) can work many, many hours in one week (100+) especially in the first years. Currently regulations prohibit residents from working more than 80 hours per week on average.

(3) This depends on the residency program. Typically first year residents right now start between $35,000 and $40,000 per year with a guaranteed increase each year of residency
