A BILL To Elevate Pharmacists to Provider Status

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I don't know if this has been stated already, but this bill is only for pharmacists working in medically underserved areas. And again, this is just allowing pharmacists to bill for services they already provide. Whereas, in the past, clinical pharmacists have to bill for services under a physician, this would allow them to bill for those services as a percentage of the current physician fee schedule (without having to bill under a specific physician)

Additionally, pharmacists are still bound by the practice acts in their respective states. This doesn't change what pharmacists are doing...it just allows them to bill for what they're already doing.

So, med students...go back to the library ;)

Sorry, that's a little snarky...rough day.

What's the status on this? Is a vote on it expected soon?
