Accommodation adivce for elective in Sydney

Hi!

I will be doing my elective at the POW hospital in April next year. However the UNSW can't offer any advice on accommodation and I have no idea where to start! Does anyone know what the best way to go about this would be or have any advice from own experience?

I presume your elective will be 3months or less, so I'm not surprised that the UNSW housing office is useless. You can look up gumtree for house-share ads under sydney>eastern suburbs. Expect $250-300/week for a reasonably nice place. I can help you post an ad in our facebook page (UNSW med soc/POW JMO), or if you're really **** out of luck there's always housing ads in and around the hospital.
