Any suggestions for a good resident level EKG book? Thanks!
DrQuinn said:The Art of 12 Lead EKG Interpretation, by Garcia. By far the best EKG book ever, and it has full 12 lead EKGs. I read it before residency and was far better than any of my colleagues in EKG readings. Highly recommended. Do a search on Amazon for it.
Make sure you buy the more expensive version, not the intro.

EMTs, nurses and med students may get sidetracked by the advanced stuff. More advanced readers may be a little annoyed trying to get to the difficult stuff. Overall though, I'd give it 4.5 stars.

If you read the fine print on the cover, it says "Published by Quinn Enterprises." Its just one of the many small ways I am trying to take over the world and become Emporer. <- (my bid on "independently wealthy).margaritaboy said:Blah blah blah. Quinn always answers this question by saying how great Garcia's book is. I had thought all EKG books were more or less the same, until I actually purchased the same EKG book Quinn has. What can I say, Garcia's Art of EKG interpretation is the shiznit. It is definitly better than what I had before, and I think it has appropriate focus for the EM physician.

Hercules said:That and I have to admit that picking up a copy of Dubin just kind of creeps me out with what he did. I'm sure there are plenty other examples of bad people who put out good texts, but I don't know about those so they don't bother me.
BKN said:OK, give it up. What's the back story?

I only found out after I bought the book.
BKN said:Ugh. Garcia it is.
