Hey non-trads,
So I see that on the AMCAS, a contact phone or email for each work/volunteer experience is required. What on earth do you do if you have an experience that you don't have a contact for?
For example, I volunteered at a Red Cross shelter after Hurricane Katrina, but there's really no way to trace a supervisor. It was quite chaotic (and back in 2005 I had no plans to apply to medical school, so it never occurred to me to keep track of any references). But this experience /is/ one of my most meaningful in my life; it's the one that ended up steering me towards medicine even though I didn't realize it until later.
So is there anything I can do about experiences like that, or do I have to leave them off the application?
