anyone wants to talk about laying off 1000 people thing for Walgreens?

The first thing that came to my mind was may be I don't want to work there (have been thinking about getting a job there instead). They are laying off people at corporate office, not at store level though I think. It is still not a very good sign, who knows, it's probably going to happen to CVS some time too...

Its mostly upper management positions that are worthless anyway. In our district, the guy they are getting rid of is just a bureaucrat who impedes things mostly. If you work at a walgreens, there is a notice on StoreNet about whats going on.
