I am a practicing pathologist and I am considering applying for a residency in family medicine. I have been practicing for 4 years now.
There are two problems apparent. First, funding. I have already completed a residency and fellowship. Does that preclude me from matching into FM? Second, LORs. Do I absolutely need LORs from family physicians? How can I get them at this stage of my career? If not, would LORs from pathologists and clinicians who work with me suffice?
Thank you for your advice.
