Applying to CUHK and HKU

Hi everyone!
I am an undergraduate student studying Biomedical Science year 2 in the UK and hoping to apply for medicine by the end of the year. I tried to look for the admission info but they stated medicine transfer is discouraged by the UGC and any applicants are not going to be considered. Does that mean there is no point for me applying?

i have friends studying medicine who are doing well in univeristy and high school that failed to transfer...
so wt would u think of a non medical degree?
