I don't have the luxury to attend meetings. I wish I could. How relevant is this when it comes to residency? For the most part I've been attending my local state's pharmacy meeting every year since my p1 year. I've only gone to a national meeting once and it was very expensive ....how much does this really weigh?

If you're looking out of state it's pretty much mandatory otherwise how would you know if it's a good program? Many programs don't have a good online presence. And if it's in a city that can be done on the cheap (Vegas, Orlando) you can probably spend under a grand.

That being said for instate programs regional residency arrangements should be fine.

I didn't consider it at all in ranking our candidates.
