Hi,

Just curious if anyone has any idea how my chances look for the University of Alberta since I feel I have a rather unbalanced application. I do not wish to apply elsewhere for personal reasons.

The good:

cGPA: 3.905
MCAT: 37, 14PS, 10VR, 13BS
I have a lot of diverse life experiences and work experiences (including full-time employment in a hospital for over a year). I am a serious (though non-varsity) athlete and spend a LOT of time devoted to my training protocol.

Now the bad:

I have no experience in shadowing, no research experience/academic reference, and the bare minimum in volunteerism, leadership, and awards (though, annoyingly enough, I'm a nominee for a fairly prestigious scholarship that won't be decided until a few weeks after applications close).

This was kind of a rushed, last minute application, but I figured I might have a shot. What do you guys think?
