I have decided I would like to do a cardiac fellowship after I finished residency. To get some diversity of experience, and get to live somewhere else for a year I’d love to do a a fellowship in the USA over Canada. However, we don’t write ITE - my program does do AKT as a subjective measure of exam preparedness though I guess.
Curious how that would impact ability to match into a fellowship. Also research isn’t a particularly big part of my program really. Not sure how much that matters in the US? I have bench lab publications though.
I do know i’d have to get a J1 visa and such.
