Hi,

If I were to change to pre Med, what classes are best to have taken for the mcat?

This fall and winter I will be taking Orgo 1+2, A&P 1+2, genetics, microbio, cell and molec. Will that be enough or do I need more like biochem and physics?

You will need a year of physics, gen chem, and biochem (may get away with one semester of biochem). Don't forget you may also need a year of mathematics for applications.

Pre-reqs for med school are typically...1 year each of Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, and English (or most writing courses). Some require a year of Calc or Stats or a combo of. Many now require a semester of Biochemistry. Many suggest a semester of Psych and Socio. All of these should be taken before you take the MCAT.
