I'm trying to find out the traditional ratio of parabens--methyl to propyl-- that would be used as a preservative. My guess is 2:1 but I can't find a source to qualify it one way or the other. Does anyone know what reference might have it?

This sounds suspiciously like your homework...

Not quite. My homework was to answer the question. I did that. I need help finding out if I'm right. It's not in any of the textbooks I used for Pharmaceutics or Compounding. Is there an online reference that might help? I'm not really sure how to look for this kind of thing. So can anyone help me help myself? Lol
