Does anyone know how technician hours for each store are determined? Is it strictly based on total script count, and if so are controls excluded (as they are in adjusted scripts to budget)?

Our store does roughly 3000/wk vs. another store in our district which does 3200/week, but are budgeted only 280 hrs compared to their 310. Does this seem about right?

A number of factors are taken into consideration including but not limited to: script count, new/refill mix, CII %, incoming phone call volume, outgoing phone call volume, POS activity, and other information including presence of drive thru, hours of operation and automation.

My understanding is it is some amount of base hours determined by such things as if you have a drive through and other factors then 1 hour per 11 scripts

Also it varies depending on if it is a 24/7 hour store or not. Theoretically the 24/7 store should have less tech hours because they have an overnight pharmacist to take care of all the readyfills. They have less tech hours to account for the extra rph hours they use for being 24/7.

Also wondering how intern hours are calculated ? Are they counted the same as tech hours despite the fact interns are usually paid more than techs? Seems like intern and tech hours are treated the same.

Intern hours are free up to a certain point, after that they are counted as tech hours. The intern coordinator lets you know how many hours the intern has.
