So I am graduating next year in summer 2020. I am thinking of applying next year as well to Dental Schools. This summer I am going to give my DAT ( 2 months prep). I still haven't taken the last part of physics which is a pre req for dental schools. I was thinking of taking it next summer in 2020.

Does it matter that my physics pre req will still be in progress after I have applied to dental school? or will the dental schools not accept that?

As long as you complete the Physics prerequisite with a decent grade prior to dental school matriculation, you'll be fine.

As stated above, as long as you take Physics before you matriculate, you'll be okay. BUT, the one school that I know of so far that requires all pre-reqs to be completed at the time of application is Stony Brook, so you won't be able to apply there.
