I'm a WA resident really interested in working with the underserved and would love to apply to the Drew/ucla program. Do they take many out of staters? What kind of stats do they have compared to UCLA/Geffen? I have a lot of experience working in medically underserved areas both internationally and here in the states. Thanks!

You have good chance, they do take some out of state. Bear in mind that they only accept 24 students total. Statistics are not the number one factor at Drew though it is important. Both UCLA and Drew boast that they reject the most 4.0 students, the key to drew is your bio mcat. they correlate good bio scores (at least an 8) to succesful medical school passage. Combine this with excellent e.c.'s and you will make for a competitive drew applicant. Don't forget about Meharry, and Morehouse if you are really into helping the underserved. good luck my friend.
