I know that the question packs are recycled material from old AAMC tests but do they consist mostly of 'harder' passages? IOW on the real MCAT there are a mix of hard and easy passages. Is the e-mcat question pack a compilation of mainly hard passages?

I only tried out the first pack so far, and they seemed to be pretty rough. Got about 30 questions wrong out of the 120, and most of them came from the first half of the pack.

Someone else mentioned in another thread that these CARS QPs are pretty difficult, so focus more on doing well and less on the fact that it's just a straight set of difficult passages one after the other (although, again, the second half of QP1 isn't that bad...)

The CARS passages in the question pack are from exams written 10-2 years ago. Since that's a very broad time period, you will get a combination of passages/questions that may have expired and some passages that are nearly spot on current MCAT. Regardless, it's by far the best resource you can use to prepare for the CARS section- even if some of the passages are older.
