Hi everyone,

I am a German neurologist. Already finished my training and working currently as a consultant. I am getting married and have to move to Australia.
Could someone please give me some information if I have to start from the beginning or if I’m allowed to continue working as a neurologist in Australia?!

Thanks

I think the Specialist pathway may be more relevant as competent authority only applies if you trained and did residency in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, or NZ unfortunately :/ I would ask this question on PagingDr as there will be more people familiar with this process, but you might also want to reach out to the Neurology specialist college because they'll ultimately be the ones to make a decision on how much training you may be required to repeat. If this is a done deal, like its going to happen rather than a hypothetical question, it's probably worth finding a professional or a lawyer to help as there's a lot of potential pitfalls that we can't necessarily help you with.
