going to a city college vs a university for undergrad

I go to a CUNY college ( Brooklyn College) and am thinking about transferring to a university such as Stony Brook. I am almost done with my pre-reqs. Is it worth the transfer if I am getting good grades at my CUNY now? Not sure how optometry schools will view this.

Only transfer if you feel like it. Don't do it because you think it will make you a better candidate. There is a student here from CUNY Brooklyn. I have 3 friends from CUNY Brooklyn that had no problem getting into Medical schools either. Focus on getting an amazing GPA (3.6+) and you will be fine, trust me.
