Hepatitis Treatments
Hepatitis B: pick any one for monotherapy ==> lamivudine, adefovir, tenofovir, telbivudine, entecavir, IFN-a
Hepatitis C: pegylated IFN-a + ribavarin + HCV rotease inhibitor [telaprevir or boceprevir]
Hepatitis A & E: supportive, no treatment
Hepatitis D: treat Hep B

Is this right?

What do you think we should know for Step II (all of this fair game)?

Hep B is just as you wrote. Main thing I remember is tha IFN/lamivudine is for Hep B (haven't had a UWorld question on any of the protease inhibitors).
Hep C is IFN + Ribavirin combination. MTB 2 doesn't mention using a protease inhibitor as adjunct, and UWorld questions say only IFN and Ribavirin as well.
Hep A, E, and D are all right.

Remember that Hep E can turn into fulminant hepatitis in prEgnant fEmales.

Awesome thank you. Yeah having finished the UW questions, they basically only address Hepatitis B as choose IFN or lamivudine and for Hepatitis C use IFN + ribavirin.

In MTB, they do say to use interferon + ribavirin + either telaprevir or boceprevir.
