I posted this in a different thread but I think it's more fitting for this group.
Hello all,
I am 2 years out of residency and have been in a hospitalist position for same. It's not an academic position. I'm interested in going back to fellowship and leaning strongly towards endocrine at the moment. I graduated from a US medical school and did residency at a mid tier program. I have average step scores and board certified in IM. I don't have any research/abstracts in endocrine. What should I do to get started? Would it be best to apply this summer or wait? Do I go back to my previous program director or head of endocrine for advise? Any help is highly appreciated.
