How bad is it going to get?

Don't know if the word "bad" is even a good term for it but I want to know what to expect after this 3rd year in medical school is over. Feeling like a single parent is slowly getting to me and understand sacrifices need to be made but want to prepare myself.

4th year is easier than 3rd year...except for a handful of sub-Is. Internship isn't easy...but isn't what it use to be due to the ACGME restrictions. PGY-2 is now a beast for practically every specialty...the new internship. After that it is very specialty/program dependent. Life as an attending is what you make of it. The truth is that you can work part time as a physician and still make very good money to support your family and pay the bills.

4th yr is usually the easiest in med school. Residency depends on the specialty. Intern yr is usually the worst. 2nd yr can be as well. It all depends on the program and what specialty.

I am going into my final year myself. I think you will do just fine.

Just believe in yourself and others will as well.
