How does FAP work?

Hi. I have applied for FAP, and I'm still waiting for their decision. However, I do not truly understand how it works. I read in their website that the FAP is only valid for the calendar year that we apply. I am planning to take the MCAT in August 2014, and then I want to apply to med schools in 2015. Would I be able to use the fee waiver for the applications in 2015? I'm confused How does the FAP work?

You would have to apply again on January 2015 so that you can use FAP in your applications.

Also, you can only use FAP 5 times in your lifetime and using it once just for the MCAT this year counts as 1. This only comes to play if you have to reapply.
