How many hours do you residents in FP work per week or month?

About 50 to 65 hours a week. Depends on the rotation. I also work an extra 40 hours a month in the ER (nigths and week-ends).

how well does moonlighting pay?

working in the ER is not moonlighting,it's part of my residency training. It doesn't pay more, it's part of my salary (about 40,000 dollars/year...canadian money)

The fp residents( pgy 2 and 3) who moonlight in my er make $50/hr for days and $70/hr for nights.

i see...how is the training in canada? for some reason i heard that fp programs are only 2 years in length?? I thought I saw an article that they debating on whether or not to extend the residency another year.

Any idea how well FP do in Canada, especially in rural, remote areas?
