How much does EM intern year prepare you for Step 3?

How well prepared did you feel after EM intern year for step 3? Just curious! I imagine it is better preparation than other specialties.

I took step 3 2 months into intern year. All you need is usmle world q bank. Its an easy test.

If you have a lighter block intern year, plan on taking it at that time.
Do some uworld and maybe review some of the outpatient and OB stuff.
EM is general is good prep for the test.

I did minimal studying and I did better on that test than anything else.

The further you get away from med school, the more you will forget the stuff that has nothing to do with EM.

One of my co-residents took it during their EM2 year with literally 0 studying. Got a 240 something. I plan on using something to familiarize myself with the computer interface but that's it.
