How to reconnect/talk to a physician I shadowed last summer

Last summer, I shadowed and researched with a physician. It was a meaningful experience for me, and I'm really interested in their specialty. I'm not able to shadow them this semester, but I sent them a message asking if they know any doctors to shadow in my current area (it's pretty close). They didn't respond, and it's been a few weeks. I'm not sure if it's ok to message them again? Maybe at a different time of day when they're not likely to be as busy? I don't want to bother them. But I'm confused because I thought we had a good rapport, and I'm not sure where I stand with them now.

Physicians are busy people. People think the physician is ghosting them when it’s likely just unintentional. If emailing does not work, then try calling them. Do they have a office with an office worker that the doctor sees everyday?
