Is it too late to apply this cycle?

GPA= 3.6 (science GPA 3.5)
MCAT= 24 (8/6/10)
3 years of part time research, 1 year of full time working as a biologist.

I want to enroll this fall, is it too late to apply now? I have my recommendation letters ready. All I need is to shadow a podiatrist and write my essay. If I apply now and get rejected, will it hurt me as a reapplicant next cycle?

You're approaching late, but the bigger schools will probably have spots left. You can call each school and ask them if they're still interviewing for seats.
