Hey guys, I have absolutely no idea how competitive I am for school. so many different factors and would like help with my chances of getting into an MD school to manage expectations going forward and also what my school list should be.
SMP(well know, academically rigorous program) GPA: 3.75
Undergrad cGPA: 3.2
Undergrad sGPA: ~3.1
MCAT: 3 retakes: 509-->511 (five point drop from average) --> 516
Residency: New Hampshire (fml no in state schools)
Ethnicity: white
Very strong ECs
Managed a medical clinic (in charge of teams treatment as well as treat own patients) ~3000 hrs
EMT-A on ambulance, busy 911 - 1200 hrs
Project Manager working on clinical trials leads team of ~10 - 1000 hours (full time job)
Youth football coach in underserved community (400 hrs)
interned in medical affairs at a large well known corporation for a year (900 hrs)
Shadowing my master PI in her Dept - 30 hrs
Research:
one pending pub in low impact journal
Masters thesis focusing on access to underserved populations (two pubs pending review)
summer wet lab experience - 50-100 hrs
School list: preference for northeast region but am aware that I can’t be choosy with my stats. List is made from goros reinvention list plus a few extras
