Start a clinical volunteer gig and keep it up forever. Such as 4 hrs/wk in an ER. Be extremely curious about how health care gets delivered so that you can speak intelligently from experience.
Be paranoid about your LORs.
Hold off on the MCAT until you've assessed what you're going to do. Don't risk a lower score by being in a hurry.
There's a huge boatload of info in this forum and in postbac you can draw from. If you spend less than about 10 hours reading posts from those who've been in your shoes, you're wasting SDN as a resource.
