Is there a significant difference between MD/PHD admissions and MD admissions?

MD/PHD probably stresses research much more and not so much clinical experience.

Yes, a lot.

However, don't ask me how much and what is different; the whole process was a blurr, wherein anything that I thought to be solid was shattered, and the most impossible became possible.

Good luck, try your best, and remember that you are probably not in control as much as you think (the opposite applies as well). :luck:

I would also like to know if there are any other not so obvious differences between the two as well if anyone else has some helpful input.

they put more emphasis on the MCAT, and publications and abstracts are commonplace.

This website should help:

http://www.intransit.us/

It's an excellent resource on the MD/PhD career track.

Check out the guidebook section, wherein they give admissions advice and general trend info.
