SDN Folks-
If anyone is interested in a research term in Houston for Summer 2015, my "dry lab" currently is recruiting for two unfilled undergrad and medical student trainee slots still available.
My team's work is focused on advanced imaging in head and neck radiotherapy (you can browse here http://faculty.mdanderson.org/Clifton_Fuller/ or here https://gsbs.uth.edu/faculty/facult...s.htm?id=2d745b1b-b129-4e76-80f4-fa967a939a0b for more info on the kind of projects our group is working on).
We are able to offer a small stipend for students who are able to commit to at least 6 weeks during the Summer term, though 4 week unpaid (though potentially academically credited) terms are also an option.
During the term students are typically tasked with supervised work on a larger imaging or data collection project, as well as a smaller "independent" projects suitable for eventual publication. So far, over the last 2 years, we've had great success, with lab team summer student pubs in PRO and JACMP, and coauthorships in the Green Journal, Radiology, and Cancer.
If you are interested, pls forward your CV or biosketch to via the the email contact info on my profile page: https://gsbs.uth.edu/faculty/facult...s.htm?id=2d745b1b-b129-4e76-80f4-fa967a939a0b , as I rarely check my SDN DMs anymore
Thanks, and pls feel free to forward to anyone you know who might be interested.
