Hi everyone,

I'm currently studying in a 5 year MBBS course outside of the EU; I'd like to ask for some advice regarding medical electives in the UK as I'll be doing 1 month of electives as a 4th year student in May-June next year.

Specialties I'm looking at would be more on the medical side rather than surgery, so General/Internal Medicine or Cardiology in particular. Would you have any recommendations on which universities/hospitals have good clinical teaching in these fields? (Not so concerned about the prestige/rankings of the university, just as long as the teaching is good.)

So far I'm looking at Edinburgh, UCL, Birmingham, Glasgow & Aberdeen (Raigmore Hospital in Inverness); aside from that my university has a partnership with the University of Liverpool (The Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals) which I'm considering as well, are any of you familiar with these?

Thanks very much, really appreciate any information you can provide! :)
