Any EMT's/Paramedics here applying to DPM programs? I'm halfway through Medic school now and have been fortunate to have excellent hospital rotations, especially in the OR. While performing intubations and other types of airways with CRNA's/anesthesiologists, I was able to chat with a few of the surgeons. The podiatrists, in particular, were great and encouraging to consider the field. A third year resident also spoke highly of his training and the profession in general.
