Is taking the MCAT in mid September pushing it if I intend to be considered for 2010? Do med schools send secondary applications as they receive applications or do they wait until end of deadline? Anyone?????

Yes, it is pushing it. Some schools won't even consider the September test date. Secondary applications and interviews are offered on a rolling basis at every school (no one waits for the deadline). A few schools will not send out final decisions until after interviewing basically everyone (I know Harvard and Yale do that) but they still offer interviews before deadlines. All in all, you'd be at a huge disadvantage to test in Sept. and try to get in for fall 2010 even if you had phenomenal stats. I'd suggest taking a year off.
