I recently read about the NCA medical sim center at the USUHS. Is it possible for civilians to rotate through this facility? As far as I know, there's nothing like it out there. You can use virtual reality to practice surgery (instead of practicing on animals).

That's a good question...have you checked the NCA website. I'm sure you could even call them (I don't have the number on hand, sorry). It is actually located on Walter Reed's Annex in Silver Spring...not USUHS...but its still only 2 miles away. We also use the Sim center for some of our physical exam stuff (simulated patients) before we practice on real patients.

Thanks for the response. Their website seems to be down at the moment.
