Hey Guys!

I am new to these forums, so sorry if this is in the wrong place. I was wondering if you guys could help me find some medical schools, since the pre-med center at my college is absolutely no help. Here are some of my stats:

Biology Major
GPA: 3.99
MCAT: 34R (11 PS, 11 VR, 12 BS)
Extensive Community Service
Research Experience (Sociology Research, not directly Biology)
Volunteer at my local hospital
Leadership position on campus
Lots of Extracurriculars (Mostly human rights/diversity related)

I am just sure what would be reasonable schools for me to apply to. I have been thinking about Buffalo, Upstate (NY), University of Rochester, Boston University, University of Chicago, and UCLA. Any other suggestions? I am a NYS resident, but I am not against leaving NY.

Also, UCLA is my "dream school." Do I have a good chance of getting in?

Thanks so much for your help!

If you have sufficiently substantive activities, with your stats, you can pretty much reasonably apply where you wish, where a school is friendly to OOSers. UCLA matriculates only about 13% OOS, though. You can decide if it's worth going for. UChicago is more like 66%.

Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely keep my options open!
