I really wonder, are there others out there from North America applying, studying, or practicing medicine in Western Europe or Scandinavia ...because you KNOW and love the culture, the language, can move through the system despite the challenges, and because you respect the people and enjoyed living there, and would like to stay there?
The few I've spoken to who are studying medicine arrived unprepared and without the language, and now do nothing but complain and compare. It gets old. Fast.
On the other hand, I've met people outside of medicine who know how to adapt to life in Europe,
take the good with the bad, and built a good life, and never looked back.
So I wonder if there are more who are happy to be in Europe ...and in medicine.
