There was a thread from a few years ago about Nucynta being calculated at 0.4 MME, and subsequent problems related to it. Steve posted some nice articles about the pharmacology. Are people still having real world problems with this? I just had a pharmacist call me concerned for why I was increasing a patient's opioids so drastically, going from Norco 10 tid to Nucynta 50 tid. It's the first hassle I've gotten about it in a while, but I was wondering what others experiences have been recently

MED looks terrible. But the pharmacies don’t call me about it. Insurance coverage tends to favor Nucynta ER for some reason.

Similar to Agast. I usually write a blurb in my note about mu activation relative to other full agonist to help people understand my choice/risk assessment when prescribing nucynta

I think it is a great drug but have cut way back on it to make my prescriber report look better.
