Posting on behalf of couple friends who applied this cycle - both IMGs on visa(j1). One has received one IV and other has received two IVs. Generally how many IVs have IMGs on J1 have received this year? Both are anxious about prospects and hoping for more IVs.
Hi Guys, I am looking for someone that would like to change University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix interview date. I can take any date September 25th, October 2nd or preferably October 23rd. Thanks!
lets make a new thread?Folks, interview tips?
Hi, just curious if anyone has some useful information (i.e. strength of clinical training, breadth of exposure, strength of transplant programs, mentorship, etc.) about the University of Colorado and Stanford programs individually and/or in comparison. Appreciate any help...thanks so much!
Any one waitlisted for UIC Peoria and anyone heard from SUNY Brooklyn?
I feel like this thread is super not up to date compared to last years...going to add ones I don't see listed here yet. I hope it's useful to someone out there, perhaps even someone next cycle. It's interesting to see that many programs seem to send out multiple interview dates, so I hope that's re-assuring to someone out there!

Yes the interview day is longer than most, I think I got out around 4 or soHas anyone had their interview at Wash U? The email says it is supposed to end around 5 pm. Can someone confirm if this is true? I am trying to book my flight and the latest departure time from St Louis I am able to get is 6 pm. Thanks.
move on from residency. everyone knows how busy faculty are. depending on program, they may interview 50-100 candidates and they dont have time for those. If you don't get a reply to thank you email, then chances of ranking in that program are less ?
I’ve been sending thank yous to the PD and APD(s) because writing to all the interviewers seems exhausting and I don’t want to end up sending some empty, stale sounding thank you (which is what would end up happening if I sent like 8 thank yous). In general I’ve gotten responses from all the PDs but usually they’ve been pretty general and short, excluding one pretty positive one. Not sure what stock to take into these things. I’ve heard that getting contacted prior to rank list time is somewhat common but who knows. Can’t say it helps a ton but in the end I think it makes sense to thank these people because as we’ve all learned, this process is extremely competitive and they took the time to assess whether or not we could be their colleagues.Any advice/opinion on thank you letters after the interview? Do they even make a difference?
I think 50-100 people sounds like a ton. I know for sure there are programs that interview 20-30 max, FWIWmove on from residency. everyone knows how busy faculty are. depending on program, they may interview 50-100 candidates and they dont have time for those.
If program is impressed with the candidate, they likely will reach out before rank order deadline themselves
Hello,
Did anyone receive an itinerary for Cook County Chicago Hospital? Please if someone can send me the location and start time of the interview, I would truly appreciate it.
I just wanted to let everyone know that interviews are still coming. I received invites from 2 University programs yesterday.
I hope interviews are going well and more invites are coming.
It might be a little bit early in the season, but does anybody have tips/know the protocol for reaching out to favorite programs? Obviously I know we should only tell our #1 program they are #1 but is there any role in feeling out other programs in our top 3?
I always thought it wasn't a good strategy to inform programs that you were rankng number 1.
Wouldn't that make them more likely to rank you lower?
