Good luck. I am really hoping for a UMKC interview. My wife and I have a house not too far away and it would be fantastic for us. On the job front, I suggest you figure out their leave policy really quick. I too have started a pretty good job this summer that I don't want to lose if dental school falls through this year. I even just got a training position and a raise, so I can't really let them know that I am applying. I may have to call in sick and take some doctor's appointments. I kind of hate doing it though, I think I've only called in sick three times in the last ten years.

Applied last cycle to 25 schools with a 19AA/18TS/19PAT/21QR/21RC, 3.3 overall and 2.9 science... 1 interview and wait list.

Just retook DAT and got 21AA/19TS/19PAT/20QR/25RC but same gpa breakdowns basically, hopefully fortunes change with these 10 schools!

CONGRATS on GRU!!!! I live in Atlanta and they are my #1 as well. I submitted my secondary about a week ago, and I've yet to hear from them. We have very similar DAT's but my GPA is lower than yours (3.1 academic/3.25 sci). Good luck with them, and maybe we'll be classmates this time around 2015!

Thank you!!!! My app was first batch but it took about 3 weeks between them sending the secondary and me completing it because I was having some technical difficulties with it. So my application to there wasn't complete until July 18th and I heard back on August 15th. Last year I waited two months. It's a waiting game, so always check your email!

Hey guys, I need some advice please. If you had a 3.25 overall and 3.17 science with 19/19/18/21 DAT, and you didn't get in this cycle, would it be smarter to retake the dat and get better scores or focus the next couple semesters on taking extra classes to raise your gpa?

i got an application complete email when i sent my money order. The email was set on july 11th. I sent it out the week of the 27th i believe, maybe one week after.

I sent in my check and then maybe a week later I got an email stating that they have received all necessary materials and will be forwarding my application onto the admissions committee. No mention of a photo in that email. I'm going to assume they'll ask for a 2x2 photo if invited for an interview.

so for you guys who got interviews at MOSDOH, did you all have something to say for the Clinical, Volunteer, and Community Service section of the secondary? I haven't done any volunteering in an office outside of shadowing but it says do not include shadowing.

Have you done any sort of volunteering anywhere? They want to see that you've given back to your community in anyway, not just by volunteering in a clinic
