Hey SDN! This is a thread to post your AAMC sample test scores (& other FL scores) along with preliminary percentile scores, so that all of this info could be in one easy to find place. For example (not my real scores):

AAMC Sample:
Chem/Phys: X%
CARS: X%
Bio: X%
Psych/Soc: X%

April Preliminary Percentiles:
Chem/Phys: X-X%
CARS: X-X%
Bio: X-X%
Psych/Soc: X-X%
Total: X-X%

Kaplan FL
FL1: X
FL2: X

**Disclaimer** I understand that there isn't necessarily a great correlation between these scores, that there are many other factors at play, and that this shouldn't be used as a perfect predictor for future outcomes. I just know there are a lot of people who would like this information. Thanks!

Hey! Thanks for starting the thread. I tried to start a similar one last week. I took the May MCAT, so don't have my percentiles yet, but I have taken plenty of practice tests so I can't wait to see how predictive they are.

AAMC Sample taken a few days before May 22:
Chem/Phys: 71%
CARS: 89%
Bio: 80%
Psych: 97%

Kaplan FL
1: 497
2: 499
3: 501
4: 497
5: 501
6: 501

Hey everyone, posting to help future test takers out. I know when I was studying these comparisons were what I was really really looking for.

May 22nd MCAT:
PS: 85-100
CARS: 85-100
BIO: 85-100
Psych: 85-100
Overall: 90-100

AAMC FL taken 1 month before exam:
83%/92%/95%/86%

EK FL1 (last FL to take before exam):
Overall 80%, all sections were around that

Kaplan diagnostic: 502 taken before any studying in January

Kaplan FL (these suck by the way I really wouldn't be too disappointed if you're not scoring well I don't think they're very representative of the real thing)
1: 504
2: 505
3: 506
4: 509
5: 507
6: 507

Yeah I took a lot of full lengths but I think that's the best way to study IMO as long as you don't let the scores get you down. Also I would recommend AAMC>EK>Kaplan. Never took TPR

Oh also I took the Kaplan online course. Didn't think it was necessarily worth the money and I wasn't happy with the class but I did end up doing well so I guess maybe it was. I also use Khan Academy a lot and did the AAMC question packs

It looks like people in the low 500s on TPR are consistently getting 90-100 percentiles on the real thing.
I'm really anticipating the score release, even though I have yet to take the test.

@hisenberg 41 if i could get this in an excel file I would love to run some tests to see how well it correlates . The more data points the better.

This would tell very little considering people took the practice AAMC FL at different points in their studying; any correlation you found would lack internal validity. Some took the FL before content review, some took it in the middle, and some took it in the days leading up to the exam. Only the latter would have any predictive value.

You are right on that question. The time that elapsed between would also be an important variable.

I will drop this here. It is all conjecture. But based on previous AAMC scales for cbt 3-11.
This is a proposed scale fore AAMC FL 2015

EK1: 73%
Chem: 67.8%
CARS: 79.2%
Bio: 74.6%
Psych: 72.9%

EK2: 70%
Chem: 57.6%

I thought EK2 was weird, as I scored my lowest CARS score ever (by far). That was not encouraging three days before my exam!

It looks like people in the low 500s on TPR are consistently getting 90-100 percentiles on the real thing.
I'm really anticipating the score release, even though I have yet to take the test.

To be honest from what I have seen while talking to people in real life, most people are scoring ~124-125 on the sciences, ~122-123 on CARS, and ~125 on Psych/Soc on the TPR exams. Some of them are retaking the new MCAT and had high 20s on the old one. So about 496-497 is what I'm hearing in general from test takers. I heard of two individuals with 496-497 range on about 2-4 Kaplan tests. One of them did get a 501 once. Both got between 68%-91% so about a 28-33 on the old scale. Both were averaging 123-124 on sciences, 123 on psych, and 126 on CARs.

Yeah, it would be nice to know how close to the test date these were taken as well as post-test thoughts
You're right, that would have been helpful to include! I found almost all of the AAMC Sample scores in the May thread about 1-2 weeks before their actual test date, so my posts should hopefully be pretty accurate.

Here are my practice scores in chronological order. I honestly wished for a lot more practice, but I just couldn’t get myself to work through Kaplan and TPR exams. They just didn’t feel right and I was pretty demoralized. But, I knew I am a strong student. So, I stuck with my instincts and stopped practicing with Kaplan and TPR. Nothing matches the AAMC materials!

So I just took the eMCAT sample test, the one that does not give percentile rankings, and I would like to see where I stand. I scored right around 70% answered correctly in each section. Breakdown is 66%, 70%, 71%, 68%. About what percentile and what score would I receive for each section now that there is some true exam information out there. Also where should I spend my time studying these next 6 weeks for a January 22nd retake?

I thought I would add mine in.

KAP1: 502 (127,124,126,125)
KAP2: 508 (128,125,129,126) (2 weeks after KAP1)
AAMC practice: 81%, 83%, 77%, 86% (About 2 weeks after KAP2)

Actual: (About 1 week after AAMC practice)
513: 130,126,128,129

Needless to say I was surprised as well.
