Have couple of Qs from released papers.
According to answers:

1. ???????
Best diagnosis for irreversible pulpitis - thermal test
for reversible pulpitis - electric pulp test
svetlana,

Is it correct?
I remember that it should be vise versa

2.
Most consistent canal morphology - mand PM

Isn't it max.canine?:)

So, what's the answer?
3.
Daily cleaning of the root surface by the patient has been shown to...
answer-allow remineralization of root surface

Isn't it "cause root sensitivity"
Plaque is the main cause of root sensitivity so it is always best to remove plaque from those area and may be by doing so re mineralization occur.

Now I have some doubts....I really need someone to clear it..
1) What prospective of hue, chroma and value the Dentist can not change.
2) What is the cause of green discoloration of teeth?
Silver ans(the Q is about PFM crowm I think)

Thank you so much in advance.....

Hope it helps

B. retention of gingiva.
C. access to perform osseous recontouring.
D. All of the above.

I feel it should be D am i right??

A gingivectomy approach to pocket elimination results in:

a.healing by primary intention
b.adequate access to correct irregular osseous contours
c.retention of all or most of attached gingiva
d.none of the above

Can someone please explain the answer to this question in the OS section of the decks?

Which of the following is the primary direction of luxation for extracting maxillary deciduous molars?

Buccal
Palatal
Mesial
Distal

The decks say palatal, but I think it should be buccal.

palatal for primary teeth, Buccal for permanent teeth.

Right, but why (I know its buccal for permanant, but why palatal for primary)? I would think that if you overluxate the primary the palatal root would snap...

Which of the following factors is critical for light curing composites?

1.shade of the composite
2.depth of preparation
3.distance from the light
4.temperature of the room
5.all of the above:thumb up:

my question is how does the temperature of room affect light cured composites?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it has to do with the location of the developing permanent dentition and the direction the deciduous root moves when the primary tooth is luxated. You don't want to traumatize the developing tooth underneath which is developing lingual to the primary dentition.

This is a direct quote from kaplan q bank explanation
"The reason is that primary molars are positioned more palatally and the palatal root is stronger than the buccal root and is less likely to fracture"
:)

Acc to this the buccal bone is dense and luxating in this direction might fracture the buccal roots in primary molar!!!

correct if m wrong
the developing permanent tooth bud is lingual to primary in anterior but in posterior (molars as i the question )it is always in the trifurcation beneath the primary molars!!

Hi Dear
i think the correct answer is c=15 mm 100% SURE
there are 2 kind of liners solutions =5mm & suspensions = 15 mm(DYCAL)

I am not sure of the answer but here is what i consider by method of elimination.
i would choose the ans as B/E.
1) there won't be increase in vdo -that would eliminate D
2)combination in A does not go together i.e.loss of vdo n retrognathic app-eliminate A
3)kelly syndrome is common for such cases where there is supra eruption of ant mandi teeth and bone loss in maxillary ant.hence there are no chances of posterior premature contacts.-eliminate C.
B and E are same!!!:)
it is just a guess ...correct if m wrong!!!

Giving nitrous oxide to kids and they say they feel nauseous what do you do?
a) turn it off and give 100% oxygen.
b) turn nitrous oxide down 10-20%
c) turn it down all the way and remove the mask you can't do this because you ALWAYS have to give 100% O2 for 5 mins to prevent diffusion hypoxia
