A compound C6H5CL was treated with HNO3 and H2SO4. The products of this reactin were then treated with Fe and HCl (causing a reduction), followed by neutralization.

1) What is the structure of this component?
2) WHat would be the structure of the other major component of this product mixture?

Please help..

does Fe/HCl will reduce NO3 to NH2 and what neutralization does?

I think the answer is:
1) p-chloroaniline??
2) o-chloroaniline??

Sorry, pal. I believe you have the wrong forum. This is optometry.

The answer is both, but they differ in the percent of composition.
