are there any pharmacist positions where having an MPH would be beneficial or necessary?

Probably public policy or international positions. I think it would be an interesting combination at a personal level, though not necessarily a lucrative combination.

I am not sure about PharmD+MPH positions, but there's no benefit in terms of jobs from getting both imo. There are really great answers as to why one should pursue an MPH in the Public Health forums. I have read into some public health topics and public health really reminds me of why I wanted to work in healthcare in the first place. It may also be really helpful if you can't find a pharmacy job and can work in the public health sector in the meantime. Otherwise, it might be great if you work as a department of health pharmacist or in the Public Health Service such as in FDA, NIH or CDC.
