Hey everybody. I was wondering if anybody could help me start a list of possible medical schools (MD or DO) with the stats I have now. I realize there is some information missing but any help would be appreciated. Any advice for me such as possible extracurricular or other would be appreciated as well.

Junior at University of Northern Iowa
Major: Biology
Minor: Chemistry
GPA: 3.8
sGPA: Unknown but still high
MCAT: Taking this April (I know this is a big factor..)

ER Scribe: Over 1000 hours by applying
Athletic Tutor: ~200 hours
Patient Care Advocate at Hospital: Over 500 by applying
Volunteer Tutor: ~50 hours

Pre-Med Club
Pre-Dental Club
Reptile and Amphibian Research in West Virginia
(I also got credit for this as it was a considered a class so??)
20 hours shadowing a D.O.
10 hours shadowing a Maxillofacial Surgeon
Lots of combined shadowing hours (50) with NP and Dentist

Prefer a midwest school, but I would take any general list. I still have a lot of shadowing lined up with MD's too. Sorry if this was still too broad for any list to be formulated.

Well without your MCAT, it's hard to say.

For MDs, I would consider starting with:
SLU
Creighton
Loyola
Rosy Franky
Rush
Iowa
MCW
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
Your state school

Any DO as long as your MCAT is 27+ or whatever the new equivalent is.

With a 3.82 GPA, Northwestern, U Chicago, U MN, U IL, Wash U, U MI, U Cindy, U Toledo, and OSU should be on the list. Naturally, MCAT will make or break you.
