I live in Houston and was looking for places to get IV certified. I found that HCC offers an intergrated program and TSU offers a similar Intravenous (IV) Therapy Program. The one at HCC involves getting a Tech license which I have. For TSU,I had questions if this certification was what I needed to work in hospitals? I emailed the director and he said:

Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certification accredited by Texas Southern University through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

Pharmop,

Just FYI about TSU, they do not have their own IV training Room. The TSU pharmacy school using the IV Room to train their Pharmacy Students At HCC. The TSU IV class looks like it more for nurses, not pharmacy technicians.

Try calling San Jacinto Pharmacy technician program and ask them if they offer only the IV certification class. If they don't offer it, then ask them if they can refer you to a good program.

Also contact NPTA they offer IV training that a lot people attend.
